Mission
Our practice is peace embodiment
Our inspiration is the Sacred Feminine
Our purpose is service to Divinity, Humanity, Earth
The mission of Vessels of Peace is to serve the evolution of human consciousness through peace embodiment. This web site and other Vessels of Peace offerings provide spiritual inspiration and practice tools, as well as a supportive community of women who resonate with this mission.
Who We Are & What We Do
Vessels of Peace is a spiritual development and service network for women. We are not affiliated with any one religion or path; women from many different backgrounds participate, and all are welcome.
Vessels of Peace women are committed to exploring a deeper connection with Divine Feminine Presence, believing this a necessary step to create lasting peace within ourselves and in our world.
The work of Vessels of Peace begins in each woman's heart ... expands through her connections with other women ... spirals out into the world as a collective intention ... and, by interweaving the energy frequency of women’s hearts with feminine ways of connecting and collaborating, creates a wholeness in the world that is new.
We offer many ways to come together and support one another in this work: teleconference calls and classes, email newsletters, an email study group series, in-person gatherings and meditation circles, and in Spirit, through the Vessels of Peace practices. We also connect and collaborate with other women’s networks, organizations and groups who feel similarly called to serve divinity, humanity and the earth.
History
Vessels of Peace began as a series of guidances, dreams and meditation visions received by one of the Core Circle members, a meditation teacher, spiritual mentor and writer, between early 2001 and October 2002. Her inner guidance was confirmed by visionaries and intuitives who came into her life during that time. She sent an email invitation to about 20 women in October 2002 - and two months later, the first gathering of Vessels of Peace was held in Harrisburg, PA. A second group began in Gettysburg, PA, the following month. In the years since those initial gatherings, Vessels of Peace has quietly but steadily grown to include women from all over the United States, Canada and several other countries. Additional Vessels of Peace Circles also have formed. The primary “gathering place” of Vessels of Peace women, however, is through teleconference calls and email, as they form a virtual community that extends across space and time around the globe.
Our Name
The three primary definitions for a vessel are beautiful expressions of what it means to be a Vessel of Peace: 1. A hollow or container for holding something. 2. A craft for navigating. 3. A person into whom some quality is infused.
The essence of feminine energy is to hold the space within which a relationship, a family, an idea, a community, can grow and transform. We navigate the waters of life within this context, carrying the sacred cargo of loving connection in our hearts. In choosing to be Vessels of Peace, we open to the continuous inflow of Spirit - particularly, Divinity-as-the-Sacred Feminine - into our beings, allowing our state to be infused with the grace of Divine Peace. |
